Privacy Policy

We understand that for many people, fertility and assisted reproduction are very private and sensitive matters.  We respect your privacy and want you to know what steps we take to protect it.

 

We will use information you provide to us to communicate with you, furnish consulting services to you if you become our client, tell you about products or services we think may be of interest to you, fulfill and enforce our contracts with you and otherwise as may be required by law.

 

Embrace Fertility is not a health care provider, insurance company or healthcare clearinghouse; accordingly, we are not a covered entity or a business associate under HIPAA (the federal healthcare privacy law and regulations), and are not required to comply with HIPAA.  Nonetheless, we have implemented reasonable physical, administrative and technical safeguards to protect information that you provide to us through this Site from unauthorized disclosure.  Please note the following:

 

  • We do not sell client information.

  • Our computers are password-protected and stored in our locked office when not in use.

  • We do not disclose your name, contact information or any other information about you to third parties unless you expressly authorize and direct us to do so; however, we do contract with certain commercial vendors for business services, such as website hosting, email distribution, credit card processing, legal and accounting services and the like, and they may have incidental access to information you provide to us.  Our contracts with these vendors will require them to limit their use or disclosure of your information to what is necessary to provide the contracted services.

  • We do not use encryption for regular emails, and we are not responsible for the security of emailed information that is in-transit or stored on third-party servers.  If you send us personal information through regular email, we will not be responsible for its unauthorized use or disclosure.

  • We do not routinely accept or create paper records.  If we print something for our temporary use, we shred it after using it.  If we agree to accept paper records, we may upon receipt scan and then shred them.

  • We do not promise to retain records for any particular time period, and we may modify our document retention policies at any time without notice.  You are responsible for keeping originals or copies of records you submit to us.

  • Nothing in this Privacy Policy is intended to restrict our ability to comply with applicable law or judicial or regulatory process, cooperate with law enforcement agencies or exercise or defend legal claims.

We reserve the right to change our Privacy Policy from time to time without notice, other than posting it on our website.  The version appearing on our website at any given time is the current policy, and supersedes all prior versions.
